BitDefender is an antivirus software suite developed by Romanian-based software company SOFTWIN. It was launched in November 2001, and is currently in its thirteenth version. The 2010 version was launched in August 2009, and it includes several protection and performance enhancements.

Dr web antivirus. Doctor Web's anti-virus software includes anti-rootkit, anti-spyware, shield, SpIDer-Mail components, and features a system tray interface.
Dr. Web console scanners are available for MS DOS, OS/2, and Windows. They all use the same Dr.Web virus database and search module, which are updated hourly. Console scanners can be installed onto an infected PCs or can be run without installation. Dr. Web console scanners have relatively low system requirements and do not use the Windows system registry. Progress bar is displayed in Dr. Web console scanners by default.

Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) (previously codenamed Morro) is an antivirus software created by Microsoft that provides protection against viruses, spyware, rootkits, and trojans for Windows XP (x86]), Windows Vista (x86 and x64), and Windows 7 (both x86 and x64), free of charge. MSE replaces Windows Live OneCare, a commercial subscription-based antivirus service and Windows Defender, which only protected users from adware and spyware. It is geared for consumer use, unlike Microsoft's upcoming enterprise-oriented product Microsoft Forefront.

Panda Cloud Antivirus is a free version of Panda's security software. It is cloud-based, meaning that scanning of the files is handled on a remote server rather than on a user's machine. This results in less "bloat" as seen by the end-user. The cloud technology is based on Panda's Collective Intelligence. It detects viruses, Trojans, worms, spyware, dialers, hacking tools, jokes and security risks.
Panda Cloud anti-virus is considered to be a new breed of security software since it relies on cloud (internet), the community, and collective intelligence, rather than just signatures. ESET NOD32 Antivirus is sold in two editions, Home Edition and Business Edition. The Business Edition packages add ESET Remote Administrator allowing for server deployment and management, mirroring of threat signature database updates and the ability to install on Microsoft Windows Server operating systems.
